WHEN TO MAKE A REFERRAL
Knowing when to refer is important.
Consider referring a child (birth to age 5) if:

A child needs ongoing developmental screening

A caregiver has concerns about milestones

A child and family need infant or early childhood mental health services

Behavioral concerns are impacting a child’s ability to stay enrolled in early care and education

A child is not currently receiving developmental or behavioral health services

A family needs help navigating available supports
Families do not need a diagnosis.
They do not need insurance approval.
They simply need a connection.
